Derek Paterson, Vice President – Sales, EMEA, joined Aero Capital Solutions, Inc. in October 2018. Derek’s responsibilities at ACS include supporting business development in the EMEA region through the acquisition of on-lease and off-lease aircraft and engines, fleet retirement transactions, and aircraft and engine placements with airlines via leases, exchanges, and outright sales.  

Derek is a proven aviation business leader with 25+ years of experience. Prior to ACS, he worked at MTU Maintenance as the Sales Director with responsibility for the EMEA region. Before his time at MTU, Derek held various Technical, Quality, and Commercial roles at Rolls-Royce. Derek holds a BSc Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot Watt University along with a master’s degree in Aerospace Management from the University of West England.  

Derek is based in Dublin, Ireland.
